# Retina Wallet Notifications: Timely Signals, Not Noise

> How Retina Wallet push and email notifications work — what triggers them, what they contain, and how to manage notification preferences.

Retina Wallet notifications are the front door to trade execution. When a policy match occurs, you receive a notification containing everything you need to make a fast, informed decision — the token, the reasoning, and the data behind it. The goal is to surface the right signal at the right moment, not to flood your notification feed.

## Notification Channels

## Anatomy of a Notification

Every policy match notification is designed to give you the full picture in a single glance:

* **Token** — name, symbol, and a snapshot of current key metrics (price, liquidity, market cap) at the moment of the match
* **Trigger reason** — the specific policy conditions that were matched, so you know exactly why this alert fired
* **AI reasoning** — a one-sentence summary from Retina Terminal explaining the signal in plain language
* **Key wallets** — the top 1–2 wallets that triggered the signal, with their Cortex scores and classifications
* **Action buttons** — **'View & Confirm'** to open the trade confirmation screen, or **'Dismiss'** to discard the alert

## Managing Notification Volume

You have three tools for keeping alert volume at a level that serves you:

* **Pause a policy** — temporarily deactivates a policy without deleting it. Useful when you want a break from a particular signal without losing your configuration.
* **Quiet hours** — set a window (for example, 00:00–07:00 local time) during which notifications queue rather than deliver immediately. Queued notifications arrive as a batch at the end of the quiet window.
* **Minimum cooldown** — set a minimum time between consecutive notifications from the same policy (for example, 30 minutes) to prevent rapid-fire alerts on volatile tokens.

## Notification Preferences

Go to **Settings → Notifications** to configure all notification behavior:

* Enable or disable each channel on a per-policy basis
* Set your quiet hours window
* Set the minimum cooldown interval per policy
* Switch to **digest mode** — batches policy matches into an hourly summary instead of sending real-time alerts

  Start with email-only notifications to get a feel for alert volume before enabling push. You can always switch to push once you have tuned your policy conditions.
