# Connect Your Wallet to RetinaOS for a Personalized Feed

> Link a read-only wallet to RetinaOS to unlock a personalized feed, follow wallets you track, and access the Retina Wallet companion.

Connecting your wallet to RetinaOS unlocks a personalized experience — a feed of tokens held by wallets you follow, portfolio context, and access to the Retina Wallet policy engine. Wallet connections are read-only by default; you retain full custody of your funds at all times.

## Read-Only vs. Execution Mode

RetinaOS supports two distinct wallet connection modes. The right choice depends on how you want to interact with on-chain data.

| Mode              | What it does                                                | Custody                            |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Read-only connect | Personalizes feed, enables wallet following | Never — view only |
| Retina Wallet | Constructs + submits transactions via your connected wallet | Never — you sign every transaction |

<Note>
  RetinaOS never holds your private keys or custodies funds at any point.
</Note>

## Supported Wallets

RetinaOS is compatible with any EVM-compatible wallet. Verified providers include:

* **MetaMask** — browser extension and mobile
* **WalletConnect-compatible wallets** — including Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and others
* **Any EVM-compatible wallet** — if your wallet supports EVM signing, it will work with the WalletConnect flow

## Using Retina Wallet Execution Mode

Once your wallet is connected in read-only mode, you can opt into the **Retina Wallet** policy engine. This mode allows RetinaOS to construct proposed trade actions based on signals in your feed — but every action requires your explicit confirmation before anything is submitted on-chain. You remain in control at every step.

To learn more about configuring policies, setting execution limits, and reviewing proposed transactions, see the [Retina Wallet overview](/retina-wallet/overview).

## Disconnecting a Wallet

To remove a connected wallet, go to your **Profile → Connected Wallets** and click **Disconnect** next to the address you want to remove. Disconnecting a wallet removes personalization from your feed but does not affect your RetinaOS account, saved alerts, or API keys.
