# Cortex Reputation Scoring: How Wallet Trust Scores Work

> How RetinaOS Cortex scores wallet reputation across win rate, entry timing, consistency, and risk profile — transparency over raw ROI.

Cortex is RetinaOS's on-chain reputation engine. It turns raw wallet history into a trust signal that tells you not just what a wallet has done, but how reliably it has done it — and what type of trader it appears to be.

## What the Score Measures

The reputation score (0–100) combines four dimensions:

| Dimension             | What It Captures                                                                                             |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Win rate              | % of positions that were profitable                                                                          |
| Entry timing          | How often the wallet entered before major price moves                                                        |
| Consistency           | Whether the track record holds across multiple tokens, not just one lucky trade                              |
| Risk/drawdown profile | Typical drawdown relative to gains — a single lucky 10x doesn't rank a wallet highly if it followed 9 losses |

## Score Ranges

| Score Range | Interpretation                                                                 |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| 80–100      | High-confidence track record — consistent early entries with strong win rate   |
| 60–79       | Solid performer — reliable but not yet deeply proven across many tokens        |
| 40–59       | Mixed record — some good trades, notable misses or limited history             |
| 0–39        | Low confidence — limited history, poor timing, or flags for bot/sybil behavior |

## Wallet Classification Tags

Every wallet also receives a behavioral classification tag based on its observed activity patterns:

* **Early Mover** — consistently enters positions before significant price moves
* **Momentum Trader** — enters after the initial move and rides the trend
* **Liquidity Provider** — primarily provides pool liquidity rather than directional trading
* **Sniper/Bot** — automated or near-instant entries suggesting bot activity
* **Long-Term Holder** — infrequent trades with long hold periods

## How Scores Update

Cortex updates scores continuously as new on-chain events arrive. Early scores are based on limited history — the more a wallet trades, the more reliable its score becomes. Every wallet page displays a confidence indicator that reflects the number of events used to calculate the current score.

  Cortex scoring is fully rule-based — not a black-box machine learning model. Every score is the deterministic output of the four dimensions above, applied consistently to all wallets. This means you can reason about why a score is what it is, and RetinaOS can explain it in plain language on every wallet page.

## Where Scores Appear

Cortex scores surface as a badge and number on every wallet page and token page inside Retina Terminal. On token pages, you can see which top holders are high-score Early Movers and whether they are currently accumulating or exiting.
